Land of Fire Restaurant in London garners consistent praise for its authentic Azerbaijani cuisine served in a cozy, intimate setting with limited seating. Diners frequently highlight the rich, flavorful dishes such as mixed grills, lamb specialties, and unique items like beef tongue, often accompanied by traditional sides and pomegranate wine. The made-to-order approach ensures freshness but can result in slightly longer wait times. Service is generally described as warm and attentive, with staff providing helpful menu guidance. Patrons are advised to book ahead due to the limited table availability. Overall, the restaurant is celebrated for introducing vibrant Azerbaijani flavors to newcomers and offering a memorable, culturally rich dining experience.

It was a lovely experience to have a dinner in this Azerbaijani restaurant. I recommend to book the table in advance as they only have few tables in their restaurant. We were welcomed warmly and we tried serbi-govurma plov rice and toyuk cigirtmasi, accompanied by coban salad. The foods were utterly delicious and rich of spices. We didnt need to wait for long until the food was delivered. Highly recommend this place.

Everything is made to order, so it takes a little longer—but it’s absolutely worth the wait. The servers are incredibly sweet and welcoming, and they patiently walked us through the menu. The beef tongue was a standout—sweet and sour, likely from pomegranate, and packed with flavor. The lamb dumplings were tender and juicy, while the borscht had a lovely natural sweetness from the vegetables. The chicken khinkali (described as "chicken paste" on the menu) is also very special — the dough isn’t like pasta, but more like Shanxi-style Chinese noodles. Truly a standout meal highly recommended!

We were a group of 7 people, and had the basement room to ourselves. It was the first time any of us tried Azeri food, and we all liked it. The mixed grill, the beef tongue, the beef kingal, lamb broth and the pancakes stuffed with cottage cheese were all good. The only dish that someone in the group didn’t like was the veg shish. We also really enjoyed the pomegranate wine. Service was a bit slow, but not unbearably so.

Great little gem. I like how cozy the restaurant is. Suggestions for what to eat were great and everything was delicious. Go early because there are only a few tables and the tables fill up easily.

My partner and I had a lovely experience at this restaurant. We had never eaten Azerbaijani food before, and we were not disappointed. The portions were healthy and delicious, with lots of flavours going on. I had the Mixed Grill, and my partner had the Chestnut Plov. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to try Azerbaijani cuisine!

Trying Azerbaijan cuisine. It's not a cuisine I often bump into hence dined there. Studying the menu, there were things from different cuisines like plov from Uyghur, Georgian khinkali, Russian pelmeni and Persian lamb stew rice. There were other interesting things like testicle skewers. I got the Khingal which was something new to me, it is basically large square/triangle sheets of dough (pasta) similar to Stracci topped with meat and onions with a choice of chicken or beef. I believe chicken is probably nicer but I got beef thinking it would be more flavourful. The dish is quite dry, I was expecting it saucy. You do get sour cream but they don't get a long as well as dumplings. Overall, it works but you have to eat it quickly before it cools down as the sheets will stick together. To summarize, the portions are huge and expensive for something simple because this dish is just a basic dish in Azerbaijan. For those who like trying different cuisines, I would definitely recommend. Although I recommend the food, I found the service chaotic. Initially the restaurant was full, hence I ordered for takeaway, upon seeing someone leaving which the manager knew because he settled his payment, he does not tell the other staffso when another person came in, the other waitress sat him down there.

I give 5 stars just for the food — it was really delicious and the ingredients were fresh. However, the portions of main courses are a bit small. The restaurant itself is clean and well kept.
